Edukasyon

 

Basic education is largely the responsibility of the Department of Education (DepEd) but LGUs are considered major partners of the national government in the delivery of basic education services. As mandated by RA 7160 (The Local Government Code of 1991), LGU-Gubat provides supplementary funding support for the following programs:

• Day Care Centers (DCC) – Early Childhood Care Development (ECCD) covering all barangays of Gubat
  • Supplementary feeding program for preschoolers
• Material support for elementary and secondary education
  • Provision of test papers to all public schools
  • Distribution of risograph units to schools
• Scholarship for college students
• Provision of additional manpower to school districts (?)
• Other educational support
  • Outreach programs
  • Skills development trainings
  • Capacity-building activities for youth and students
  • Saludo Gubatnon youth award
