The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) develops strategies and implements plans for the protection and conservation of the municipality’s environment and natural resources.

Major programs are as follow:

• Solid waste management
  • Implementation of programs as prescribed by RA 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000)
  • Garbage collection
• Wildlife protection
• Mangrove forest management
• Issuance of Certificates (No Objection for Cutting Trees, FLA Application)
